The Gist of Us
Established since 2016, Boat Daze, was created by a group of friends with the intention to help connect boat lovers, enthusiasts, adventurers, sea lovers and everyone in between, they set out to create a hassle-free experience for renters and for boat owners. Owning a boat can sometimes be expensive, but renting it out every once in a while can make it pay for itself. Also when renting is just a few clicks away, you no longer have to postpone that perfect day out at sea!
What is it?
Boat Daze is a tool for managing three aspects of the boat rental business: the rental reservations, the boat owner’s property availability and payment. Through our site you can handle your payment, cancellations, and even link your calendar to help you keep track of your boat’s availability.
As a renter you can effortlessly make a reservation at any moment, in seconds. After your reservation is confirmed, all that is left is literally for you to show up and enjoy your day!

How it works
- Registration:
Becoming a member of Boat Daze is absolutely free and super easy. We just require username and email. Once you are in, you may explore the different processes for renting, listing your boat, cancelling a reservation and getting paid. We strive to make it as easy as possible for you to find your way around, but we understand that we will always have some room for improvement. Rest assured that we are always there to help you any way we can, just email us at support@boatdaze.com (¡Tambien hablamos español!). Please read our Terms and Conditions as you will need to acknowledge agreement upon registration.
- Options:
You can book any boat in our community with captain included, like a charter. Just hop on and spend the day (or a few) without having to know anything about boating. Have a captain’s license? – you can book any of our bare-boat options.
If you will be captaining a boat, know there are laws that govern these practices pretty much everywhere, so you understand that by using the site, you are implying that you have taken the necessary steps to be fully compliant with the applicable rules which may include having a valid license, insurance and other documents that law enforcement may require of you.
If you own a boat, you can quickly and easily make your boat available for rental or charter services. Simply list your boat for those dates in which it will be available and start renting it to other members right away for fishing, leisure or cruising.
Our concept of boat listings revolves around days and the prices are set by the day. Renters may contact you through the site prior to requesting a reservation to ask you about your listing, or to make special demands for their trip that may alter your set price. At the moment of accepting a reservation request you can easily make alterations to the final price. Remember to specify a meeting time and describe the nature of your charter service so that renters understand how their day(s) will go. If you are listing a bare-boat option be sure to specify the time at which you expect to receive your boat back.
- Payment:
The transaction handling in our site is very simple but there are a few variants as will be detailed now.
The process starts when a renter requests a reservation. The only thing required to request a reservation is a day or a set of days, no payment or anything else is required at this point. Some time later, once the boat owner reviews and accepts the reservation, he or she will issue the renter an invoice for the total cost of the trip. At that point the renter may submit payment with credit card or PayPal to confirm the reservation. That payment will be put on holding until after the reservation is complete and both parties have safely and happily returned to shore. As a renter, the price you pay is the final price set by the owner, so you don’t even have to bring your wallet.
The payment and financial information of both parties is always safe, as we do not store any of your financial information and we use trusted payment processors. Our communications are also encrypted using industry standard SSL encryption.
Note that either party may cancel a requested reservation at any moment, and confirmed reservations may be cancelled by either party within the first 2 days of payment as long as it is a week in advance of the booking period. This will issue an automatic refund – no questions asked.
Because we at Boat Daze understand the value of your time, we deal case by case with cancellation requests that are out of the aforementioned parameters. Even then, our cancellation process for confirmed bookings is still very easy. Either party can issue a cancellation request right from the site. We will get in touch with both parties if necessary, and issue the appropriate cancellation transaction.

- Completion:
The reservation’s life will automatically be complete 12 hours after the end of the reservation. This will issue the payment to the boat owner and the renter will be allowed to post a review for that booking. Reviews are an important tool for us to monitor our user base and keep our system clean. The information for a review is also publicly visible and can help other renters make decisions when browsing rental options. We also resort to communications that you may privately send us to support@boatdaze.com.
