Are there any fees for memberships, or rentals?

No. The site is totally free to use: you only pay the amount requested by the boat owner.

What do I need to sign up and rent a boat?

You need to sign up with your email and will eventually need a credit card or PayPal account to pay for your reservation.

I have selected a boat and have chosen my desired dates of rental, what now?

The owner needs to confirm that the boat is available on those dates, and will need to generate an invoice for your booking. Once the invoice is generated, all you need to do is pay it and coordinate meeting time.

Does Boat Daze save any of my credit card or payment data?

We don’t save any financial information or payment data unless you choose otherwise, in which case our secure credit card processors will store the data. 

How and when do I pay for my reservation?

Once you reserve your charter / rental, the owner of the boat will generate an invoice. You can then pay that invoice with PayPal or a a credit card under “My Reservations”.

Can I rent the boat without a captain?

Only if the owner is willing to do so. Every owner has its different set of rules, but you may be able to reach an agreement if you know how to operate the vessel and don’t want to use a captain.

If I need to cancel my reservation, do I get a refund?

You are able to be refunded if you cancel within certain timeframes (see Terms of Use). If a cancellation is due to inclement weather, or some other exigent circumstance, please inform Boat Daze so that we can evaluate the situation and issue a refund when appropriate and fair to all parties involved.

Does my charter include any fishing equipment and gear?

If it is a fishing charter, the owner should have equipment for you, but ask just to make sure. Boat Daze does not set the rules for these issues, the owners do.
